The Big Shoulders Fund and the Auxiliary Board raised funds for scholarships at the Third Annual Bowl for Big Shoulders this past March.
It was a great night of bowling, contests, networking, scrumptious food and drinks, while helping to carry the dreams of deserving inner-city students. The details on the night were as follows:
When: Tuesday, March 9, 2010
Time: 6-9pm
Where: 10pin bowling lounge (330 N. State Street)
Why: 100% of the proceeds go toward making a positive impact in the lives of inner-city Catholic school students through the Big Shoulders Fund Auxiliary Board Scholarship Fund because Michael Spencer and 10pin bowling lounge donated the entire evening.
Price: $75 for bowler
$425 for a team of 6
$55 for a non-bowler
$100 at the door (if available)
Ticket price included three hours of bowling, dinner and desserts along with unlimited beer, wine and soda! Attendees had a chance to meet and network with other professionals who want to help make a difference in children's lives while raising funds for the Big Shoulders Fund Auxiliary Board Scholarship Fund. The scholarship enables needy students, regardless of religious, ethnic or economic background to receive a quality, values-based education in a safe environment.
The event raised nearly $15,000 this year with over 150 individuals in attendance. This sell out crowd made this year's event the most successful in its three year history.
